Junction of highways # 32 & 45. North to communities of Conover, Land O' Lakes, Waters Meet. Eagle River is the heart of Northwoods fishing. Their lakes are known for their trophy-sized musky, but you 're also bound to catch walleye and bass. When the leaves begin to turn the fall foliage is brilliant.

Nicolet National Forest western boundary
Roadside turnout with information sign. Paved turnout, no services. The Chequamegon-Nicolet is also home to over 44,000 acres of Wilderness Areas. Five wilderness areas are located on the Forest - Blackjack Springs, Headwaters, Porcupine Lake, Rainbow Lake, and Whisker Lake. These areas offer the quiet and solitude of those who really want to get back to nature. Highlighted by its unique forest landscapes and abundant wetlands, the Chequamegon-Nicolet is a hiker's paradise.

Forest County
Western boundary. Forest County was created from portions of Langlade and Oconto counties by an Act of the Legislature in 1885. The county was given the name Forest because of the dense forest which covered the county when it was created. Forest County has an abundance of lakes totaling 21,882 acres. Its network of waterways is unique and consists of 850 miles of fabulous trout streams. There are 120 lakes in Forest County where pan fish, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleyed pike, pickerel, and muskies are common.

Access to Lost Lake Recreational Area. Lost Lake is 541 acres of water which is surrounded by cabins and resorts and on north end is a baseball field. Each day you could see eagles, otters, osprey and loons visit you on the lake. You can fish for Northern, Walleye, Bass and Musky.

Junction of highways #2 & 141
North to community of Crystal Falls. North to Michigan Bewabic State Park Campground. A 144-site campground is situated in a shady, wooded site. Most of the sites have buffer strips between them to allow for privacy and every site has electricity, a fire ring and a picnic table. Picnic areas, a hiking trail, two playgrounds, an excellent beach and a boat launch to Fortune Lake are among the additional amenities at this park. Perch, bass, bluegill and walleye are plentiful in Fortune Lake. Many other points of interest in the area are within easy reach, such as Horse Race Rapids, Chicaugon Falls, Pentoga Park with its Indian burial ground, Iron Mountain Iron Mine and the Iron County Museum in Caspian. Using scaled down, working models, the museum displays the history of the logging and mining industries of the area.
