0.2 (48.1)	0.1 (29.9)	Cathlamet Overlook	Just 0.1 miles from intersection of SR4 and SR409, the Cathlamet Overlook gives a good view of the marina, the Town of Cathlamet, Puget Island and Oregon cliffs on the horizon. Small and on blind curve.
3.1 (45.2)	1.9 (28.1)	Steamboat Slough Road, entrance to Refuge	Marked by Federal sign, The Columbian White Tailed Deer Refuge protects these small threatened deer. Deer live on the bottom lands and were noted by Lewis in his journals. Winter waterfowl birding is particularly good after some of our rains. 0.3 miles on Steamboat slough Road is the Refuge Headquarters, brochures, maps and birding list available
4.8 (43.5)	3.0 (27.0)	White Tailed Deer Refuge Kiosk	Refuge Kiosk panels tells information relating to the threatened Columbian White Tailed Deer and Roosevelt Elk. On the Steamboat Slough are several Lewis and Clark sites. Kiosk gives information relating to these sites.
12.9 (35.4)	8.0 (22.0)	River Life Interpretive Center (Redman Hall)	River Life Interpretive Center is a restored 1896 School House which sits on a rocky knoll. Driveway is narrow, steep and curving. There is parking at the top. The Center features permanent Lewis & Clark exhibits. Revolving exhibits include local artists and authors, bookstore and gift shop.
13.0 (35.2)	8.1 (21.9)	Wahkiakum County Fairgrounds	At the base of the River Life Interpretive Center drive is Skamokawa Valley Road. In about 0.1 mile is the entrance to the Fairgrounds. Wahkiakum County Fair is August 26, 27 and 28. Fair grounds has camping facility for RV's and tent campers. Bathrooms and showers available but no hookup's. 2004 rate is $10/night. Reunions enjoy the group camping opportunities. On the Columbia River, it is a full sevice camp ground for either RV's or tents, day use. Amenties include picnic tables, toilets, shower,beach,and facilities for small boat launch. 30.6 (17.7)	19.0 (11.0)	Wn & Alta Meserve Memorial Park	A small Pocket Park at the intersection of SR4 and Loop Road. On Gray's River, it has picnic tables and porta potty.
30.7 (17.5)	19.1 (10.9)	Loop Road to Covered Brdige	Marked by a sign as item of historic interest, loop road passes the Covered Bridge. The access road has a sign explaining its particulars. This is the last covered bridge in Washington State still in use. It has been restored and can be driven over, there are size and weight limitations. After crossing the bridge there is a small parking area and porta potty to the right side. Road continues to private homes and farms.
37.0 (11.3)	23.0 (7.0)	Altoona -Pillar Rock Road, Rosberg	AT mile post 15 is the Village of Rosberg (Ross'berg). Altoona-Pillar Rock Road is marked by a sign and goes about 6 miles to the parking area. All that remains of the Altoona cannery are the pilings. Pillar Rock, an important land mark for the Lewis and Clark Expedition cannot be seen from the parking area, it was descrated in the 1940's to make a channel marker so has lost its distinctive characterists as reported in the Journals. Road is narrow and winding and the parking-turn about is limited. Larger vehicles are strongly discouraged.

43.5 (4.8)	27.0 (3.0)	Salmon Creek Roadside Park	Park has picnic Tables, porta potty, some over night camping permitted but unimproved sites. Big trees provide dense shade.
48.3 (0.0)	30.0 (0.0)	Naselle, Washington	Naselle is a spread out little town. SR4 intersects and ends at SR401. At the intersection is an information kiosk and the Naselle Pioneer Lutheran Church, still an active congretation for more than 100 years.
