Crossing the Nooksack, River, WA. Nooksack is 75 miles (121 km) long. The river is made up of three main forks, the Middle Fork, North Fork and South Fork.

Loop Road to Covered Brdige
Marked by a sign as item of historic interest, loop road passes the Covered Bridge. The access road has a sign explaining its particulars. This is the last covered bridge in Washington State still in use. It has been restored and can be driven over, there are size and weight limitations. After crossing the bridge there is a small parking area and porta potty to the right side. Road continues to private homes and farms.

NOTE the Lewis and Clark Tail leaves highway #101 at this point and goes north on highway #103. Services at highway. North to Loomis Lake State Park, WA - Pacific Pines, WA State Park, Leadbetter WA - State Park. North to communities of Klipsan Beach, WA - Ocean Park, WA - Nahcotta, WA. Pacific Pines, WA State Park. sits on the Pacific shore. The area is conducive to all manner of day-trip beach activity and nature observation. The park offers five unsheltered picnic tables, available first-come, first-served. There is one restroom at the park.
