McCormick Memorial Wayside
The 'Walnut Grove Farm' was the birthplace of the mechanical reaper that Cryus McCormick improved and pattened. The wayside provides shady tables for a picnic, restroom facilities. A self guided tour of the grain mill and blacksmiths shop is reccommended.

Whites Truck Stop has been on this location since interstate 81 was constructed. The restaurant is eclectic and worth the stop. Don't expect gormet food just a good old fashioned truck stop food.

Wades Mill and BuffaloHerb Farm
Wade's Mill is a working water-powered flourmill listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The mill is powered by a 21-foot water wheel still produces a wide variety of flours exclusively on mill stones. The Herb Farm offers garden tours with a variety of themes, the plant house stocked with herb plants and garden accessories and the Big Red Barn where herbal products, dried flowers and designs and garden books may be purchased.
