Highway State 100
Classic Vermont house architecture On the right. This home was randomly selected (mainly by being next to the road and easy to photograph) to show what many homes throughout the state look like. This is a common Federal Style design with standing seam metal roof, enclosed porch, attached garage, and requisite flag.

Echo Lake Inn & Inn at Waters Edge Echo Lake Inn, a very old and classic Victorian built for summer visitors more than 100 years ago, is on the west side (see photo), and the Inn at Waters Edge is on the east side. Both are well known, excellent quality resorts. Also, there is a very nice lake front state park nearby. You can find it by turning east, going past the Inn at Waters Edge, continuing a few minutes and then turning left onto Scout Camp Road. Follow it a couple of minutes to the Plymouth State Park on the left. There are picnic tables, boats and canoes, a beach, etc. A day pass is $2.50 per person, a great bargain.

Warren, Vermont Watch for the right turn that will take you through the village of Warren which is worth the slight detour. Warren, Vermont has a small covered bridge and several quality shops such as Warren Pottery, Warren Country Store, Bradley House, and Parade Gallery. Try to park in front of the Warren Store on the left (see the photo) if you can. The Pitcher Inn across the street is a Relais & Chateaux facility that offers world class lodging and restaurant. You may see a celebrity or two hanging out here.
