Byway: Utah - US-163 from the Arizona Border to Bluff Scenic Byway

Byway Description: Near Monument Valley, this area has been the setting for countless western movies. The road moves through the vast Navajo Indian Reservation. There are also several red rock formations easily accessible from the road.

State Route #261, State Route #316, to Goosenecks State Park, Utah, Goosenecks State Park, Eroded by water, wind, frost, and gravity, is truly a magnificent sight, and a classic location for observing incised meanders. Goosenecks State Park is largely undeveloped. Primitive campsites with picnic tables are scattered back from the edge of the cliff, and vault toilets are available. Mokee dugway, Johns Canyon Road, to Muley Point, Utah, a remote, scenic overlook in southern Utah. The view provides panoramic vistas of the desert landscape of southern Utah and northern Arizona. Monument Valley is visible in the distance while the San Juan River cuts into the canyon below.
