Utah - The Energy Loop: Huntington & Eccles Canyons Scenic Byways
Description: The byways wind across the fantastic resources of the Manti-La Sal National Forest, rising up to 10,000 feet above sea level. On a clear day, you can see landmarks 50 miles away. You will be introduced to the rich history of industrial development as you view coal mining operations, historic mining towns, camps, and coal-fired power plants. The Sanpete Valley reveals some of the best-preserved Mormon Pioneer settlements in existence, and the Castle Valley will expose you to some true geological wonders.
Time to Allow: 1.5-4 hours
