Access to toilets, no picnic tables, east side of highway. The first gold seekers here got $2.00 in gold on the first gold pan. The community of Sheridan located 1/2 mile N.E. now 30 feet under water was named for General Philip Sheridan & founded in 1875 on the Cheyenne - Deadwood Trail.
