Description:
The battle fought here on March 15, 1781, was the largest, most hotly-contested action of the Revolutionary War's climatic Southern Campaign.
The serious loss of British manpower suffered at Guilford Courthouse foreshadowed final American victory at Yorktown, seven months later.
Designations: National Military Park (March 2, 1917)
Accessibility: The visitor center, park trails and rest rooms are wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair is available for loan. The visitor center film is captioned.
Seven tour stops with wayside exhibits and four audio exhibits are along the tour road. Parking for cars and buses available at each stop.
Getting Around: Personal vehicle, bicycle. Tour buses also have access.

Plane: Greensboro is serviced by an international airport.
Car: I-85 South: exit NC 6 (Lee Street) to Morrow Boulevard, north to Fisher Street; turn right on Battleground Avenue; park is approximately five
miles north; turn right on New Garden Road.
I-85 North: exit 121 (Holden Road) turn left on Holden Road; go approximately six miles; turn left on Benjamin Parkway; go one block and turn
left on Battleground Avenue; go two miles and turn right on New Garden Road.
I-40 East: exit 213 (Guilford College-Jamestown Road); turn left on College Road; go north two miles; turn right on New Garden Road; go four
miles to park.
Note: Directional signs are placed on major routes into Greensboro to assist in finding the park. I-85 north and I-40 east join in Greensboro.
