Directly in front of you is Pueblo Peak which is 12,305' tall; Vallecito Peak which is just to the east, is 12,643'tall. All of the land that you are viewing from where you stand all the way past the other side of the mountains is part of Taos Pueblo. Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark.
