East to the community of Big Fork, east to Wayfarer State Park Campground. Located near the quaint resort town of Bigfork on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake, this park is 67 acres in size and is 2,900 feet in elevation. A mature mixed forest makes this site very pleasant for camping and picnicking. From spring to late fall the area abounds in wildflowers. Nature walks over the rocky shoreline to the cliffs are popular with photographers for the excellent view of Flathead Lake. Camping is limited to 7 days during a 30 day period and no RV/trailer is allowed over 50 feet in length. There are 30 sites on the park, 7 of which are for tents only. Please limit your stay to 7 days.

Access to Flathead State Park - West Shore - Elevation 2934 feet
East side of highway. Glacially carved rock outcrops rise from Flathead Lake to overlooks with spectacular views of the lakeshore and the Swan and Mission Mountains. Considered the most private park on Flathead Lake, this site is distinguished by a mature fir, pine, and larch forest. The beach is rocky but you can still swim, boat, and camp here. There are 20 tent sites, 26 trailer sites.

West to the community of Proctor. West to Lake Mary Ronan State Park Campground. Just seven miles west of Flathead Lake off the beaten path and shaded by Douglas-fir and western larch, this park provides a quiet opportunity to pick huckleberries, hunt mushrooms, and spot interesting birds. Trails lead into the surrounding area which abound in wildflowers and wildlife. You can also fish, swim, and camp. There are 26 tent sites & 26 trailer sites

Access to Flathead Lake Big Arm State Park
East side of highway. On Flathead Lake’s Big Arm Bay, this park is a popular jump-off point to Wild Horse Island. Big Arm's long pebble beach is popular with sunbathers and swimmers. Camping under a stand of mature ponderosa pine and juniper is a major attraction. RV/trailer size is limited to 30 feet in the 29 sites. There are also 6 tent sites available.

North to Yellow Bay State Park. Yellow Bay is in the heart of the famous Montana sweet cherry orchards. Cherry blossoms color the hillsides during spring. In the summer, cherries can be purchased at nearby roadside stands or U-Pick orchards. The park includes Yellow Bay Creek and a wide, gravelly beach. Among its attractions are boating, lake trout fishing, waterskiing, bird watching, swimming, camping, and scuba diving. The park is 10 acres in size at an elevation of 2,973 feet. It offers four tent sites and 1 RV site with a 30 foot limit. There are both flush and vault toilets

Access to St. Igunatius Mission Historical Site
East of highway. The St. Ignatius Mission was built in the early 1890's. This Catholic Church is unique because its walls and ceilings have 61 original paintings by Brother Joseph Carignano, S.J. on them. The Mission Mountain Range is a beautiful backdrop of scenery behind the Mission Church. The church is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation.
