Description: Along Crowley's Ridge, a mixture of plant communities and a diversity of species respond to abrupt changes in soil type, exposure, moisture, and slope. Dramatic views abound along the ridge and rolling hills. Wildflowers proliferate throughout spring, summer, and fall. Travel through archaeological and historical sites such as Parkin Archaeological State Park, the Sloan Site, and the Civil War battlesite at Chalk Bluff.
