Lorenzo & Seth Wright were killed 1 mile north of this spot by Indians who had stolen 45 horses from early settlers. While pursuing the Indians they were ambushed December 1, 1885.' State Route 70 (Globe to New Mexico) A part of \"The Old West Highway\", U.S. Highway 70 runs 153 miles from Globe, Arizona to Lordsburg, New Mexico, tracing 600 years of western history and adventure.
