The Kaibab National Forest is part of the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest in the United States. Bordering both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon. Smooth sandstone water chutes, deep swimming pools, and picnic area. Red Rock State Park. Facilities: Twin Cypress Picnic Ramada, Wedding Tree, Visitor Center roof top: Noteman Seating Area, Sentinel Seating Area, Cottonwood Picnic Area. Amenities: Ramada – Water, electric, tables, grills. Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Dead Horse Ranch is situated amidst an abundance of life along the Verde River. Dead Horse Ranch State Park covers 423 acres. The 3,300 foot elevation accounts for the mild temperatures that are ideal for camping, moutain biking in the Coconino National Forest, hiking along the Verde River. Park Facilities Campsites with electricity, water, picnic tables, and grills, Dump Station, Tent sites with tables and grills, Restroom facilities with hot showers, Picnic areas and group sites.
