Ixtapa Viewpoint
Just north of the southern Ixtapa turnoff there is a scenic viewpoint on the west. Southbound traffic has easy access to the parking lot. Northbound drivers should NOT try to get into the parking area there.
Immediately after seeing the parking lot on the west, northbound drivers will see a gravel area on the east that is not a parking lot, but is used for parking.

Legacy Highway Guides - pre-2009 Mex. Hwy 200 traverses through the tropical deciduous forests and mountains of the Nayarit State capital of Tepic, past the palm tree lined zocalos of the tourist mecca of Puerto Vallarta on the Bay of Banderas in Jalisco State, southward hugging the Pacific ocean on its way past farmland, thorn forests and sprawling savannas to the resort city of Manzanillo in the State of Colima. It serves as the gateway to the "Costa Alegre" (Happy Coast) of southwestern, coastal Mexico! (Page process time: 0.0017 seconds) |
