The Capital city of the state of Michoacan Mexico, Morelia, was founded in 1541 with the name Valladolod and in the year 1828 changed it's name honoring Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon the Insurgent hero that was born in this city. From the viceroys time, the Architectural landscape of this city is spectacular, with it's buildings build with pink quarry. Places to visit: The Cathedral, the Aqueduct, the Tarascas Fountain, the Main Plaza, Clavijero Palace, Morelos' House and museum, The University campus, San Francisco Temple, San Jose Temple, The Justice Palace, The City Hall, The State museum, The handcrafts market, The regional candy market.
