He erected a sign here, stating the mileage to his hometown. Others followed his lead and are still doing so to this day. Access to Visitor Information Center, north side of highway. The Visitor Information Center have a vidio that explains the building history of the Alaska Highway. Center is adjacent to the Sign Forest. More than 42,000 license plates, road shields and homemade signs are mounted here.
