Highway 16 The Yellowhead Route:
Junction of Highway #35
24 km North to Quill Lakes Bird Area Northern Gateway Wadena. Points of Interest include Wadena Wetlands wildlife viewing area with lookout towers, walking trials, boardwalk, picnic area, and interpretive signage. Area hosts millions of ducks, geese, shorebirds and cranes. Attractions in and around Wadena, SK; Wadena, main street murals and Wadena Museum and Nature Centre located in 1904 Train Station. Also has a one room schoolhouse, vintage machinery, blacksmith shop, and Brice Homestead. Nature centre features wetland diorama with marsh birds and muskrat house. -
North to Greenwater Lake Provincial Park
South to Fort Qu'Appelle, 109 km's. South to Echo Valley Provincial Park & Katepwa Point Provincial Park. Greenwater Lake Provincial Park: Camping - Two Service Centers provide modern facilities and hot showers to four campgrounds.
Four campgrounds with 186 sites: Electric Sites: 144 (near a service centre)
Non-electric Sites: 42 (near a service centre)
Overflow Sites: 75.
