Highway marker for Highway #55. NOTE: This portion of this highway is designated as 'Northern Woods and Water Route' The Highway, comprises an east and west scenic route along Saskatchewan Highway 9 and Saskatchewan Highway 55. The tree line marks the separation of Saskatchewan prairies and parkland and the northern lakeland and forested area. Northern Woods and Water Route commemorates the waterways and woodland areas first valued in this area by first nations and fur trader. |
