Town of Canora. Canora is known as the “Heart of Good Spirit Country” as a result of its proximity to several lakes and parks, including Crystal Lake, Good Spirit Lake and Duck Mountain Provincial Park. The area is host to Saskatchewan’s greatest number of golf courses per capita and boasts one of the highest traffic counts in the province. South to Good Spirit Provincial Park. North to towns of Sturis, Preeceville.

South via #9 highway. Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park, offers a wide variety of camping opportunities. The park has 104 electrified sites and 88 non-electrified sites, as well as a many overflow and economy sites for those who desire a more rustic outing. Modern service centres with showers and washroom facilities are located throughout the area and are available to all park visitors

North to town of Kelvington. North to Greenwater Provincial Park. Greenwater Lake Provincial Park is a natural environment park approximately 202 square kilometers (78 square miles). Wadena Museum and Nature Centre. South 1 mile on Hwy 35, east side of highway. Located in 1904 Train Station. Also a one room schoolhouse, vintage machinery, blacksmith shop, and Brice Homestead. Nature centre features wetland diorama with marsh birds and muskrat house.

Wadena Wildlife Wetlands Viewing Area. Lookout towers, walking trials, board walk, picnic area, and interpretive signage. Area hosts millions of ducks, geese, shorebirds and cranes. South 3 miles on Hwy 35, then west 4 miles.

North to towns of Rose Valley, Tisdale. North to Greenwater Lake Provincial Park . South to Touchwood Hills Post Historical Site Provincial Park. No facilities. Touchwood Hills Post, built in 1879, was the last of several Hudson’s Bay Company fur trade posts established in the area. The Carlton Trail and a telegraph line passed through this post making it an integral part of the network of posts, trails and communication systems which developed in the province in the 19th century. Today only the cellar depressions of the post and a segment of the Carlton Trail remain. A plaque commemorates the site and concrete markers outline the building locations.
