Access, south to Cypress Hills Provincial Park, Fort Walsh National Historic Site.This former North West Mounted Police/Royal Canadian Mounted Police post (circa 1878-83) was later used (1942-68) to breed horses for the force and the Musical Ride. Take a guided tour of the fort's buildings, the Fort Walsh townsite, two cemeteries and a reconstructed whiskey trading post. Visitors can also explore the ridge along Battle Creek on self-guided trails and view exhibits in the Visitor Reception Centre.

Welcome to Indian Head, all services,north to Katepwa Point Provincial Park Junction of Highway #56, access to campground, full hookups. Indian Head is an old established town. The first settlers moved into the district in 1882, a few months ahead of the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1887 the Dominion Experimental Farm was founded here as one of the original research stations in Canada and today is still doing research and giving valuable information to farmers. In 1902 the P.F.R.A. Tree Nursery was started and is still shipping out several million trees each year for farm shelterbelts in the three prairie provinces.
