Over the years, they built four different forts on this site. Annapolis Royal was the official capital of Nova Scotia from 1713 to 1749, when Halifax was founded. The Kejimkujik Scenic Drive The Kejimkujik Scenic Drive travels west from the historical town of Liverpool, through the peaceful rural countryside of Nova Scotia's forested interior, ending at the historical community of Annapolis Royal.
