The Lighthouse Route Scenic Drive: The Lighthouse Route follows Nova Scotia's South Shore, where the past is a part of everyday life. You'll find it along quiet country roads where ox teams still haul lumber, and coastal villages where fishermen still row wooden dories out to sea. This portion of the Lighthouse Route highway guide starts at the junction highway #3 & Follows highway #331 to the town of Liverpool.
Rissers Provincial Park
The park is open from mid-May until early September and offers two campgrounds with a total of 90 sites, picnic areas, and a large supervised beach. There is a canteen and change house with showers adjacent to the beach. Both campgrounds have water outlets and trailer dump stations. The North Rissers campground, while not on the ocean, offers washrooms with showers and a playground.
