Graves Island Provincial Park
|
Joined to the mainland by a short causeway, the island is typical of many of the small islands found along Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast. The park is open from mid-May until early October, offering a 73 site campground, walking trails, picnic area, beach, playground and boat launch. The campground has water outlets and a trailer dump station.

Downtown Lunenburg. The Town of Lunenburg, was formally established in 1753 as the first British Colonial settlement in Nova Scotia outside of Halifax. These early settlers were from various parts of Germany, Switzerland, and the Montbeliard region of France. They followed in the footsteps of earlier Mikmaq and Acadian inhabitants in the area.
