Cornybrook Campground, NS

Corney Brook
20 unserviced oceanside sites. There are fireplaces and one washroom building with flush toilets. There is no potable water on site swimming and hiking nearby. The Cornybrook Trailhead is located across from the Corney Brook Campground.
Features: The trail follow a brook through a hardwood forest to a small waterfall that marks the end of the trail.
Length: 6.5 km (4 miles) return.
Hiking Time: apx. 2 hours
Elevation: is 30 - 170 m (100 - 560 ft.)

Time: 15 minutes
Elevation: 410 m (1345 ft.) This trail is a self guiding trail with interpretative signs, explaining the residing wildlife life that are here. One may encounter pitcher plants, delicate orchids, colourful dragonflies, green frogs and even the odd moose.

West side of highway. Fishing Cove Hiking Trail Feature: Length: 15.7 km (9.8 miles) return (also a 5.7 km alternate route)
Hiking Time: 5 - 6 hours
Elevation: 0 - 355 m (0 - 1165 ft.) - One can Hike from the top of the mountain about 8 kilometres down to a small ocean cove and grassy clearing which was once the site of a Scottish fishing community.There is no potable water on site. Fishing Cove is the only designated wilderness camp site in the park. One must register at a park information centre prior to camping.

Lone Shieling Hiking Trail

Access from highway. Lone Shieling Hiking Trail Features: Old growth Acadian forest, Scottish heritage cottage.
Length: 0.6 km (0.4 mile) loop
Hiking Time: 15 minutes
Elevation: 70 m (230 ft.) This short hiking trail is through 350 year old sugar maple trees. The Grande Anse Valley is one of the largest old growth hardwood forests in the Maritimes. There is a replica of a Scottish crofter’s hut at the beginning of this trail.
