West to community of Annapolis Royal, NS.South to Yarmouth, NS. - Liverpool, NS; occupies the west bank of the mouth of the Mersey River. Attractions in and around Liverpool, NS: Bristol Avenue (beside river bridge), Liverpool, NS; have a picnic see the history of the river bridge and the shipbuilding history of Liverpool, from interpretive panels. - Sherman Hines Museum of Photography & Galleries of Art - Queens County Museum: This museum shows documents and artifacts that tell the story of Queens County's - Perkins House Museum: This Cape Cod house was built in 1766. The museum shows colonial life in Liverpool in that period. - Old Burial Ground, the earliest burial ground in Liverpool 1760: costumed animators are performing during Privateer Days in early July. - Rossignol Cultural Centre: The Rossignol Cultural Centre combines 12 museums in one - Hank Snow Country Music Centre. This museum features many famous personal memorabilia of Nova Scotia's, native son Hank Snow. - Fort Point Lighthouse Park. Fort Point Lighthouse built in 1855, is the third oldest surviving lighthouse in Nova Scotia. The museum has costumed interpreters and displays, mid-May to mid-October every day. - Liverpool festivals: Liverpool, Country Music Festival - Outdoor Country Music Festival - Privateer Days.

Kejimkujik National Park
Entrance to Park, south side of highway. Kejimkujik National Park Camping Facilities: Jeremys Bay campground has 360 unserviced sites, suitable for tent or trailer. There are no water or electrical hook-ups but each campground loop has a service building with washrooms and dishwashing sinks. A shower building is located within the campground. - Group Camping Campground: Jim Charles Point Campground, on the shore of Kejimkujik Lake, is a base from which to explore the Park. This group campground is for organized non-profit groups of eight or more. There are four group campsites, each equipped with picnic tables and fireplaces. - Backcountry Camping: All backcountry campers must register at the Visitor Reception Centre. -

Fort Anne National Historic Site of Canada
South side of highway. Situated in the town of Annapolis Royal, Fort Anne provides a special opportunity to bring Canada's past to the present. In the 1630's, two decades after the English destroyed the original Habitation at Port Royal, the French returned to the area and settled further upriver. Over the years, they built four different forts on this site. Annapolis Royal was the official capital of Nova Scotia from 1713 to 1749, when Halifax was founded.
