Halifax to Bridgewater
Highway 3 from Haifax to Bridgewater is a wonderful drive that offers many great views of the South Shore's Mahone, and St. Margrets Bay. It weaves its way through the outskits of Halifax, to the romantic bays filled with sail boats, to the historic towns of Chester, Mahone Bay, and Lunnenberg. It passes by some of the most popular beaches, and some of the most beautiful homes in the province. A truely great drive!

Armdale Rotary
Pay attention to traffic as you weave your way around one of the few rotaries in the province. A nightmare at times, but somehow it works and has for years.

Highway 333 is another great drive, and an alternate route. Taking 333 and rejoining 3 later does not miss much on highway 3.

Entrance to Bayers Lake Business park, one of the busiest retail shopping areas in Halifax. A bit of a nightmare to drive around but a wide variety of fast food, chain department and grocery store, movie theater, and lots more.

This an alternate and popular route. Highway 333 will take you by Peggy's cove and other great Ocean view locations and join back up with Highway #3 on the outskirts of Halifax. Nice bar/restaurant at this location 'The Two Gulls'

Very small park with nice view of the Bay. Easy to miss, its on a large curve in the highway.

Cleveland Beach
Great little beach. Sand when tide is out, mostly rounded rock boulders when tide is in. Provincal park. Nice place for a picnic, or stroll to the end of the beach and the rocky point with a full view of the bay.

Queensland Beach
One of the most popular beaches in Nova Scotia. Very busy spot on a hot summer day. Some very nice Inns and B&B's nearby. A fabulous restaraunt too at the Surfside Inn.

Small park overlooking Hubbards Cove. Short drive off main highway to Hubbards Campground and then on to the beach. Small admission cost to get to beach. Nice sandy beach in protected cove.
