Tourist information on East side with sani-dump; Hay River, NWT has all services including RBC & CIBC banks; follow signs for campground located on Vale Island (North) past airport and harbour; great beach at Hay River Territorial Park; visit the Dene Cultural centre; check the 'Outdoor Market' on Saturday mornings at the harbour for great local 'catch of the day' and friendly atmosphere; new ecological escorted zodiac tours of the harbour also available;
