Nakusp - Revelstoke Highway: Across and beside Arrows lake surrounded by snow cap mountains, who could ask for better scenic highway driving.

Looking west at the BC Hydro Lower Revelstoke Dam. Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre
is located atop the west end of the powerhouse. It houses a large exhibit area, a theatre, gift shop and other visitor facilities.
The exhibit area shows how the Revelstoke project was built and illustrates various aspects of power production. Revelstoke Dam is Canada's second generating project on the Columbia River and one of four dams in B.C. that regulate the flow of the Columbia. The Revelstoke Generating Station, located about 130 km downstream from Mica, has an installed capacity of 1,843,000 kW, with provision for an ultimate capacity of 2,764,500 kW, which would make it the most powerful hydroelectric development in British Columbia. The hydroelectric complex comprises a 175 m high concrete gravity dam in Little Dalles Canyon, a 122 m high earthfill dam on the west bank of the river, and a powerhouse in the riverbed, immediately downstream of the concrete dam.
