Ogopogo is the name given a lake monster reported to live in Lake Okanagan, British Columbia. The first documented sightings of the Ogopogo by European settlers date back as far as 1860. Sicamous to Vernon (alternate route to Vancouver ) This short connecting highway winds through the Shuswap river valley bottom beside some lovely lakes. There are a significant number of tourist opportunities, especially around Enderby, Armstrong and Mara Lake.
