Summerland the Gem of the South Okanagan, BC. Summerland attractions; Summerlands's Ornamental Gardens, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, Trout Creek Canyon Trestle, which showcase the history of the old Kettle Valley Railway line built from 1910-1915. Summerland is also home to the Kettle Valley Steam Railway. The Kettle Valley Steam Railway is a operating heritage railway. The Kettle Valley Railway built during 1910-1915 once stretched from Midway, BC to Hope, BC. The train, powered by a restored 1912 locomotive which takes tours along it's 16 km track.
