VANCOUVER ISLAND This highway is called the Inland Highway Route. This highway gives access to many tourist destination communities, offering lodging and campground facilities along the way. Highway #19 is the fastest route north. Highway 19a the Seashore Route (which parallels this highway) follows this highway at a more leisurely pace along the eastern coast line of Vancouver Island.
