Attractions around the area include a miniature railroad, gallery, museum, river rafting, guided horseback riding, fishing, rowboat rentals, bike rentals, mini-golf and 18-hole golf, boat tours and hiking.

Mount Terry Fox View Point and Rest Area
Located on the West side of roadway overlooking the breathless Rocky Mountains. This spot is named for Canadian hero Terry Fox who endeavoured to run from the east coast of Canada to the West in support of cancer research despite the fact he had lost his right leg to cancer three years earlier. His Marathon of Hope journey lasted 3300 miles before he was forced to stop.
