British Columbia Highway #101, also known as the 'Pacific Coastal Highway', is one of the world’s longest highways; 'The Pacific Coastal Highway', Starts/Finishes at Lund, BC, and extends southwards 15,202km away, to the South American town of Quellon, Porto Monte, Chile. - Attractions in and around Lund, BC - The Historic Lund Hotel - Access to Desolation Sound, BC - Water Taxi to Savary Island, BC.

    Okeover Arm Provincial Park Turn Off
    6 kms/2.7 miles to the park. This small campground is on the doorstep of Desolation Sound Marine Park. There are 14 vehicle/tent sites open seasonally and four small, condensed sites open all year. - Desolation Sound Marine Park; (access by boat only) This park is at the confluence of Malaspina Inlet and Homfray Channel. Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park has more than 60 km of shoreline, several islands, numerous small bays and snug coves. The warm waters of the park are ideal for swimming and scuba diving; the forested upland offers many trails and small lakes and wilderness tent sites. Other facilities: Prideaux Haven: Located as a base for exploring the Sound, this anchorage is an bay dotted with islands and small coves at the far north end of the park. A pit toilet is located there. - Tenedos Bay: A sheltered bay east of Mink Island in Homfrey Channel. Nearby Unwin Lake freshwater swimming. Pit toilets, wilderness camp sites and an information shelter are also located there. - Grace Harbour: A large sheltered bay located in Malaspina Inlet and surrounded by Gifford Peninsula. Pit toilets, wilderness camp sites, an information shelter and an upland hiking shelter.

              Saltery Bay, BC Provincial Park
              Saltery Bay Park is located on the north shore of Jervis Inlet. From the shore, killer whales and sea lions can sometimes be seen. There is excellent scuba diving and an opportunity to view Canada’s only underwater mermaid statue. Campground Facilities: 42 vehicle/tent campsites including 2 double units. Facilities include pit toilets and a sani-station, and showers. Picnic Areas Saltery Bay Provincial Park has a day-use/picnic area. There are no covered shelters available. The day-use area is located 1 km from the campgrounds. There is a concrete boat ramp, hand pump for water.

                Mermaid Cove, BC Saltery Provincial Park
                Tenting and Scuba Diving, hiking: The Mermaid Cove Trail starts at the bridge over Park Creek near the entrance to the Campground. It is an easy 1 km hike through 90 year old second growth stand of forest. Some sections of the trail traverses short sections of rocky out crops where footing may be slippery.

                      A small, picturesque all-weather anchorage on the south side of Sechelt Peninsula near Secret Cove. To access this park by land, visitors can also hike 4 km from a parking lot off of Hwy 101. This park provides camping, hiking, swimming, kayaking and picnicking.

                        At low tide the cobblestone ocean beach at the picnic area is a good viewing area for sea stars, mussels and oysters or for watching whales, seals and ducks (in winter) offshore. Douglas-fir and cedar forests are home to deer and Douglas squirrels. Roberts Creek Provincial Park is separated into a separate campground and day use area. - Camping: There are 21 gravel sites, one of which is a double site. There are no pull-through sites; Pit or Flush Toilets. Cold water taps are located in both the day-use and campground areas. Sani-station available.
