Junction of Highway # 72 and Highway # 806 secondary. The Village of Beiseker, AB, Municipal Campgrounds 35 campsites. The Village began to grow in 1910 when the branch line of the CPR was completed. William Samuel McGee, his name was the inspiration for the poem The Cremation of Sam McGee by Robert W. Service, is buried east of Beiseker.

Alberta Highway # 9 Alberta's Highway 9 passes rolling farmlands and through the City of Drumheller, home of The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Plaeontology which has the worlds largest exhibit of complete dinoaur skeletons. Drumheller is part of the Dinosaur Trail, a 50km side trip from highway #9 circling through the badlands of the Red Deer Valley.
